Corps de Logis
The Corps de Logis is the central building of the three-wing maison de plaisance which was erected for the Palatine Elector Carl Theodor by his garden and building director Nicolas de Pigage. Construction was completed in 1770 - a complete work of art that unites architecture and nature in one overlapping concept, one that is today rated as one of the most beautiful palaces of its epoch.
In the palace regular guided tours take place that provide the visitor with an opportunity to see how the ”Summer Estate in Nature” was used in order to get away from the strict arrangements of the court. Special guided tours are conducted regularly on subjects such as ”The Life of the Servants”, ”Court Table Manners” or ”Hunting at the Court”. Although these tours are of more interest to adults, there are also events for children that show how people used to live and work.
